Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Latest News & Update: 2-in-1 Hybrid Pegged For March Rollout
The wait for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 continues which most believe is happening soon. Microsoft has yet to announce anything official though there are murmurs that the 2-in-1 solution will be making its debut before the first quarter of 2017.
In a previous report, it was mentioned that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would come out in the open in Q1. We are already in the middle of January with no hints from the Redmond company. However, latest reports claim that the day of reckoning will be this March, maximizing the allotted time for the said hybrid, PC Advisor reported. Supporting that claim is the belief that the company will release the device alongside the Windows 10 which is also known as the Creators Update.
All this remains unofficial with Microsoft remaining silent on the matter. Apparently, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is one of the big devices most are eagerly awaiting thanks to the fumble of Apple’s MacBook Pro 2016. With the Cupertino company’s laptop failing to satisfy the hype, most have looked for alternative mobile solutions with the Surface Pro series at the top of the list.
Among the speculated features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 include an ultra-HD display, magnetic charging capability and armed with a stylus. It is expected to come with Pegatron technology as well, according to BGR. But like its predecessors, the Surface Pro 5 is eyed by most because of the flexibility it carries. This refers to its ability to transform from a laptop to a tablet (and vice versa) with the aid of a detachable keyboard.
Many have been waiting for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 as early as 2016. It is believed that the company purposely delayed its release due to one key component – the Intel Kaby Lake chipset. With the SoC officially unveiled at CES 2017, the chances of getting a high-powered device just got better which hopefully does happen in March.
