"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 continues to taunt fans with the mysterious fate of the Salvatore brothers as Sybil continues to corrupt Damon. Another mystery fans are crazy about is Nina Dobrev's possible return for the series finale and she finally addresses the rumors! Here's what she has to say.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 finale looms ahead and fans can't wait to see what will happen to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). In fact, fans were fascinated to see Stefan turning into his old ripper while Damon returns to Mystic Falls. It's the very first time that Stefan turned off his emotions and let his old self take over.

Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will continue to see Damon struggle to control himself from creating chaos. Surprisingly, memories of Elena -- specifically the necklace Stefan gave Elena -- certainly stopped Damon from killing an inmate back in Friday's episode. Unfortunately, this did not go unnoticed to Sybil (Nathalie Kelley). A photo posted by TV Line shows Sybil walking down the staircase in a blue gown, just like Elena did way back then. Fans will continue to see Sybil torment Damon with memories of Elena.

In other news, Nina Dobrev finally addresses rumors surrounding her return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. While executive producer Julie Plec expressed her desire to see the actress reprise her role as Elena at the very end, no official confirmation has been made. However, Dobrev recently sat down with Huffington Post and answered the burning question of her return. She said that she's never going to tell and advised fans to stay tuned on March 10 to know the answers.

In a coy manner, Nina Dobrev said that she will never spill any secrets, including the possible return of Elena Gilbert for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. Fans are now kept wondering if there's going to be a possible closure between Damon and Elena.
