'Super Mario Run' Latest News & Update: Android Version Set To Debut This March
While iOS users are enjoying “Super Mario Run”, Android counterparts have yet to get their version to play the iconic video game character on their mobile phones. The Google Play Store did start pre-registration for its users so that they may be alerted once the app is out. Unfortunately, the month of release came from some other source - Nintendo’s official Twitter account.

Nintendo announced that the Android version of “Super Mario Run” will be out by March though the actual day was not mentioned, Android Headlines reported. Regardless, this means that longing Android users get to enjoy the game rather than watch in envy for folks on the iOS side. The actual date may have been purposely held off to avoid explaining delays should these surface.
Other than that, “Super Mario Run” for Android is expected to follow the same route that the iOS version did. This includes offering the game free for download but limited to three levels. For those who want to get the game, it is expected to be priced similarly at $9.99, Slash Gear reported. Reactions to the high price being asked for the game remains divided, a ploy that could backfire on Nintendo.
The good news is that the demo version should keep most busy since it does offer other game options outside Mario running endlessly with the aid of taps on the part of users. As far as the price tag, there is no indication that Nintendo will change its mind for “Super Mario Run”.
It is worth noting that "Super Mario Run" is not due for updates, meaning the actual app purchased is the whole thing. There are plenty of other levels to keep gamers busy, something Nintendo may want to work on to entice app purchases. The Google Play Store pre-registration alert will still be of use once "Super Mario Run" is ready for download. Hence, Android folks who haven’t done so may want to sign up now.
