‘Fargo' Season ' Theories & Plot Details: Upcoming Season To Focus On Fewer Characters, Modern Era Embraced

After more than a year of hiatus, "Fargo" season 3 premiere looms ahead and fans are now trying to squeeze in as much information as they can about the upcoming season. During the Television Critics Association's winter press tour in Pasadena, the cast and crew revealed that the FX anthology will focus on fewer characters, set in a modern era.

The cast and crew of "Fargo" season 3 teased fans with juicy details at the TCA winter tour in Pasadena according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actors, together with executive producer Warren Littlefield, revealed to fans interesting points that they can look forward to in the upcoming season. Star Ewan McGregor revealed that maintaining the distinct "Fargo" accent was difficult especially now that the two characters he portrays are going to appear on-screen. In fact, he claimed that doing different accents for two different characters is worse than doing the Dutch accent, Uproxx added.

"Fargo" season 3 began filming this month and it appears that a lot have been covered already. The team released early footage showing Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Thewlis and Michael Stuhlbarg in their new roles. Executive producer Warren Littlefield talked in behalf of co-show runner Noah Hawley about the upcoming season. He pointed out that next season is not a period piece, which means the setting should be more present than the previous two seasons.

"Fargo" season 3 will also feature moments that will connect the two previous seasons. He said that the cast will have a lot of fun embracing the modern era. Littlefield also added that there will be limited connections to the first season. When asked if there will be cameos from season one cast, the showrunner he sounded reluctant but otherwise optimistic. He stressed that "Fargo" season 3 will be more intimate given the smaller cast, which will allow them to go deeper with each of the characters.
