The Royal Rumble 2017 happens next week with all eyes on the 30-man battle royal. A lot of big names will be participating, headlined by the likes of Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg, and Braun Strowman. While the mayhem is expected in the raucous free-for-all, the other cards deserve attention as well. In all, all the cards happening at the Alamodome are critical as the "WWE" marches on to the road to Wrestlemania 33.

To date, several cards are already expected. That includes the one-on-one of retired NBA great Shaquille O’Neal against the Big Show, the anticipated mentor vs. student match between Triple H and Seth Rollins and the person “The Undertaker” will be facing in Orlando. Other stars are expected to get their new feuds such as Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens and possibly the returning Finn Balor.

The word out is that the “Demon King” may return before Wrestlemania 33, Wrestling News World reported. For the likes of Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and The Undertaker, the official duels could take shape at the Royal Rumble, Forbes reported. Strowman has been getting involved in Reigns’ matches and such hints on a possible collision course. But before that, there was the "WWE Raw" episode where Strowman was captured keeping a close watch on the Undertaker.

This was when the “Dead Man” made his entry official to the battle royal happening in San Antonio. From there, we have two scenarios. Strowman could elevate his feud with Reigns or target the “Undertaker” at Wrestlemania 33. There is also the possibility of seeing Finn Balor take on the Undertaker, only possible of the former "WWE" Universal Champion appears at the Royal Rumble 2017.

If not, a wild option could see a mammoth Triple Threat match involving the three titans. Reigns, Strowman and the Undertaker don’t have a dance partner yet so it will be interesting how this turns out. Original plans included having the Undertaker take on John Cena with potential retirement plans up in the air. "WWE" CEO Vince McMahon has reportedly scrapped all that which made things more complicated.
