The second season of "Shadowhunters" has just premiered, but there are already several speculations on what could happen next. Although most are concerned about Jace Lightfoot's arrest in "Parabatai Lost", some are also looking forward to Magnus Bane and Alec Lightfoot moving forward with their relationship. But what will happen when Magnus and Alec finally go on their first date in "Shadowhunters" Season 2?

Fans of "The Mortal Instruments" book series already know that Magnus and Alec end up together (albeit for some time) and the first season of TV show has already shown the two share their first kiss. However, they have yet to go on an actual date. There is little doubt that the first date will take place in "Shadowhunters" Season 2, but could it also end in disaster?

The synopsis for "Shadowhunters" Season 2 Episode 6 reveals that Clary and Isabelle will team up to find out exactly what Valentine's plans are, but they discover more than they have bargained for. "Iron Sisters" will also have Maia and Simon searching for Luke, then the short description confirms that Alec and Magnus will actually go on their first date in the episode.

But why will it take so long for Magnus and Alec to actually go on a date in "Shadowhunters" Season 2? Now might not exactly be a good time, especially with Jace being taken away by the Clave. In addition to that, Alec has just faced a life-and-death situation when Jace had to save him in "Parabatai Lost". There are speculations that Alec and Magnus will be able to enjoy a nice evening soon, but it is still possible that their date will be interrupted by the Clave or Valentine?

Magnus and Alec's first date will take place in "Iron Sisters", which airs on Freeform on February 6. In the meantime, Jace's fate will be revealed in "Shadowhunters" Season 2 Episode 4. "Day of Wrath" will air on January 23.
