'WWE' 2017 Latest News & Updates: Brock Lesnar May Give Braun Strowman Big Push At Wrestlemania 33

With all the attention on Royal Rumble 2017 which takes place Jan. 29, fans are eager to see what new storylines come out of it. Leading the list of plots is an expected showdown between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, a rivalry that most may have already grown tired of seeing. With the latter up 2-0, it makes no sense to see a third meeting between the two behemoths.

Speaking of behemoths, there is one largely lurking and the dark horse of the match – Braun Strowman. The past weeks have seen the man-mountain decimate opponents head-on, including Roman Reigns. When the Undertaker showed up last week to announce his entry into the Royal Rumble, a segment showed Strowman pretty interested in the proceedings. From that alone, most felt that a Strowman vs. Undertaker match looms, as covered in a previous post.

There is no telling what the "WWE" plans for Strowman at Wrestlemania 33. A match with the Undertaker could be huge though nothing has been made official. If not the “Dead Man”, why not book Strowman with Brock Lesnar instead? The “Beast Incarnate” could gain some points with the fans if he gets over the powerhouse, something that could prove his strength is for real as well.

Lesnar has gone against big guys like Goldberg, Reigns and the Undertaker. During those occasions, he has managed to snag out a win. But somehow, his performance was questioned by some – particularly in the area of handling bigger wrestler. Against Strowman that could be a big boost, Wrestlezone reported.

It can also aid Strowman’s push as well. With most of his matchups normally one-sided, he doesn’t necessarily need a win to establish his niche. All he needs to do is last and give Lesnar a good match and his stars will shine. In the same Jan. 16 edition of Raw, the two had a staredown when Lesnar cleaned house. Strowman didn’t engage but things are apparently different this coming Sunday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
