'Hellboy 3' Still Happening, Guillermo Del Toro Planning Meeting With Ron Perlman, Mike Mignola
Everyone knows how eager Ron Perlman is to put on the red paint and prosthetic tail so he can reprise his role as Hellboy. But does director Guillermo del Toro still want to work on one more film? The "Trollhunters" filmmaker appears to be open to the idea of "Hellboy 3" and is looking for a way to make it happen.
There is little doubt that fans are still hoping for "Hellboy 3", especially since the second movie teased on Red and Liz expecting twins. Ron Perlman has repeatedly teased on yet another sequel although Guillermo del Toro always seemed uncertain about a third film. However, it sounds like the "Pacific Rim" director has since changed his mind and is ready to meet with Perlman and "Hellboy 3" creator Mike Mignola.
Guillermo del Toro recently took to Twitter to announce that he has already spoken to Ron Perlman about "Hellboy 3" but they are preparing for a more formal meeting. The "Pan's Labyrinth" filmmaker also revealed that he will reach out to Mike Mignola after he meets with Perlman and promised to give an update. In addition to that, del Toro thanked fans for their continued support of the first two films.
I spoke with Ron Perlman. He's in for the sit down. Will approach Mignola next. Will keep you posted. Very moved by your love of pt I & II

So what exactly could happen in "Hellboy 3"? Fan are hoping that Selma Blair will reprise her role as Red's pyrokinetic girlfriend Liz while Doug Jones is expected to be back as the aquatic Abe Sapien. There are also speculations that Red and Liz's twin children could get introduced in the sequel although some are still skeptical about the film actually happening. Hopefully, Guillermo del Toro, Ron Perlman and Mike Mignola can come up with an awesome story that will be worth the long wait.
Ron Perlman first portrayed Red in 2004 then reprised the role in "Hellboy II: The Golden Army". Guillermo del Toro directed both films and is expected to helm "Hellboy 3" as well.
