‘Final Fantasy 7 Remake’ Delayed Because Of ‘Kingdom Hearts 3’; Tetsuya Nomura Explains
It looks like fans still have to wait for a little while for the release of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." Since the game was announced to come in 2015, game enthusiasts have been looking forward to its release. To make the franchise's supporters calm, game director Tetsuya Nomura talked about the game's development and the reason of its delayed.
In an interview with Famitsu (via GamingBolt), Nomura assured that their work for the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is "moving solidly." However, fans still have to wait a little longer for it to come because of the additional works they have to make for the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3." The 46-year-old video game designer admitted that it is hard for their "in-office and non-office" team to work together.
Aside from "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," they also have to prioritize "Kingdom Hearts 3" plus the administration works they have to do that are now quite different than before. Nomura also assured that the problems they are facing are the game's format and not the content. They, too, are now progressing and solving these issues with the help of the combined efforts from all of the company's departments.
Nomura then apologized for keeping the game enthusiasts waiting a little longer for "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." Nonetheless, the moves that they are doing are for their fans to reach their high hopes and meet their expectations for the game. Meanwhile, Daily Express reported that the much-awaited title's release date could be unveiled earlier than expected.
Nomura confirmed his appearance at the Monaco Anime Game International Conference (MAGIC) on Feb. 18 and this might be the perfect event for him to reveal "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" release. Fans, too, are expecting that they will give a glimpse of the game's new footage or gameplay. If that is not the case, at least they want the game designer to give another update or news if it will be also out for Xbox One as it is PlayStation 4 exclusive.
