‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Adds New Character; Timothy Omundson To Play God

The life of Lucifer (Tom Ellis) has never been the same since his mom, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), arrived in "Lucifer" Season 2. Now, as the show continues, it looks like the former ruler of hell is about to meet his dad, God, in person.

Timothy Omundson is famously known for his stints on "Galavant" and "Psych" is the latest addition to "Lucifer" Season 2. The 47-year-old actor has been cast in a guest-starring role as God in the fantasy police procedural comedy-drama. However, he might not be the father of Lucifer everyone hopes for as his appearance will bring a lot of twists and turns.

Timothy Omundson will be playing the role of God Johnson in "Lucifer" Season 2. He is a psychiatric patient who believes he is the God. According to Gizmodo, as the television series started the arrival of the goddesses -- which began with Charlotte -- on earth, there's a big possibility that the holy being is the next to come. They can have the power to take the newly dead bodies they encounter and bring them to heaven or hell.

But, it seems Lucifer does cannot distinguish the man as his father, although he will start to doubt if God Johnson is the real God when he starts to further investigate in "Lucifer" Season 2. Hypable reported that the name of God is often heard on the show but he is never been seen. In fact, he has been one of the major characters of the program since it started in 2016.

In spite of being a big influence in Lucifer's life, the show perfectly managed to keep his character a mystery and even his looks. But this is not the case anymore, even though fans still have to see if God Johnson is the real God in "Lucifer" Season 2. Viewers, too, have to wait if he naturally knows everything or someone is just telling him.

Timothy Omundson will appear in the show in May and only signed up for one episode, but there's a big chance he will be back.
