'Narcos Season 3' To Reportedly Continue Without Boyd Holbrook As 'Logan' Star Leads Upcoming 'The Predator' Film
There has been plenty of concern for the future of Boyd Holbrook in "Narcos" Season 3. After all, the real Steve Murphy moved back to the US after the death of Pablo Escobar so the same could happen to his TV incarnation. Now it looks like the "Logan" star is moving past the Netflix series to be the lead in the upcoming "The Predator" film.
Boyd Holbrook's return in "Narcos" Season 3 has been discussed heavily at the conclusion of the previous season. Although it is highly unlikely that Steve Murphy will stick around in Colombia after Pablo Escobar's death, he also happens to be the narrator of the series. Holbrook has not yet confirmed whether he will return in the third season, but his filming schedule after "Logan" seems to suggest Murphy is no longer part of the show.
It was recently confirmed that Boyd Holbrook will take on the lead role in the upcoming "The Predator" film, which will take the iconic alien bounty hunter away from the usual jungles and far-away planets. The "Logan" baddie will team up with "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Olivia Munn as well as recent cast addition Sterling K. Brown (via The Hollywood Reporter). The Shane Black movie is expected to begin production soon, which could mean Holbrook will not have time to work on "Narcos" Season 3.
So what will happen to "Narcos" Season 3 if Boyd Holbrook could no longer commit as a main cast member? There are speculations that Pedro Pascal will take over as the Netflix show's narrator. This certainly would make more sense for the series which is now expected to focus on the Cali Cartel after Pablo Escobar's demise.
Netflix has not announced the "Narcos" Season 3 air date just yet. Likewise, the streaming giant has not confirmed whether Boyd Holbrook will still be a part of the crime series.
