‘Resident Evil 7’ Latest News & Update: First DLC 'Banned Footage Vol 1' To Roll Out Next Week, More Details Revealed
Capcom marked the release date of "Resident Evil 7" with a trailer, revealing the outline of its downloadable content (DLC), which players can pick up very soon. Capcom's horror game will be getting its first DLC "Banned Footage Vol. 1" next week.
Capcom announced that it has a timed-exclusivity deal with Sony for "Resident Evil 7" DLC, Kotaku reported. In a blog post, Capcom revealed that the horror game's first expansion "Banned Footage Vol. 1" will be released on January 31 for PS4 before rolling out to Xbox One and PC on February 21. The first DLC is already included in the $30 season pass or can be bought for $10 alone. "Banned Footage Vol. 1" will reportedly include two new "Banned Footage" scenarios to play through.
"Banned Footage" will feature the Bedroom Scenario, where players will need to figure out how to escape from a locked room without letting know Marguerite Baker know you've been out of bed. The other one is the Nightmare Scenario, where players need to fend off waves of enemies and survive until morning. Resident Evil 7" first DLC will likewise include a mode called Ethan Must Die. This is a tough-as-nails mode not included from the tapes and story of the main game. It should be noted that this mode does not support PSVR.
Meanwhile, the second round of "Resident Evil 7" DLC will include two more scenarios and another mode, GameSpot added. The 21 Scenario is a deadly game run by Lucas Baker, where players will gamble their life and limb to win the game. The Daughters Scenario, on the other hand, will see the former life of the Baker family before the tragic events took place. The extra mode called "Jack's 55th Birthday" will be a timed race, which will feed Jack tons of food. Like the first extra mode, this won't be available in PSVR as well.
"Resident Evil 7" second DLC will come out on February 14 for PS4 and Xbox One. It will then be available on PC on February 21. This will come free with the season pass or you may buy it for $15 alone. Capcom stressed that the game will support PS4 Pro and HDR on PS4 and Xbox One.
