Samsung Galaxy S8 Will Have ‘Infinity Display,’ New Specs & Features To Make People Move On From Galaxy Note 7
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is now making noise. Said to have an "infinity display," the new smartphone from the Korean tech giant will come in two sizes with monster features that will try to raise the brand's name again.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has two variants, the 5-inches, and 6-inches screens. It will have a smaller or the just same size with Samsung's previous handsets, but it will sport a larger screen display, per The Guardian. According to the publication's sources, the smartphones are codenamed Dream and Dream 2. It is said to have lesser bezels, edge-to-edge display, and an iris scanner. It is also expected to make a huge impact with its "infinity screen."
The insiders also give details of what the tech enthusiasts can expect. The two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will both have curved screens that will go from left to right sides that are similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Its advanced technology will also make it visually stunning as the lesser bezels mean that it will sport larger screens. That also entails that its top and bottom bezels' size will be cut, a kind of method that might prove Samsung's removal of the physical home key button and may use an on-screen button instead.
This may also come with other biometric sensor options for added security. Meanwhile, according to Forbes, it may take some time before the tech-savvy people will find out what the Samsung Galaxy S8 really has to offer. It is expected that Samsung will add new features that will the fans forget the controversy brought by the Galaxy Note 7 and the differences it has compared to other Galaxy S units.
DJ Koh of Samsung Mobile recently confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S8 won't be unveiled at the coming Mobile World Congress like Samsung used to introduce its new smartphones. The president of the mobile company didn't reveal the exact details why the release of the handset will be late, but there are reports that it has a connection with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 controversy. It has been said that the tech-giant is ensuring the phone's safety to avoid another hullabaloo.
