Microsoft Project Scorpio Will Run Games In Native 4K; Phil Spencer Tests The Unit, Hints Games Playing Great
Tech-savvy fans are now starting to ask if the upcoming Microsoft Project Scorpio can deliver 4 K resolutions for some of its games. Now to make things clear, the Xbox head Phil Spencer breaks his silence and answered their followers' queries.
When asked about Project Scorpio RAM details on Twitter, Phil Spencer simply responded with yes pertaining that the new Microsoft game console will run games in native 4K. In another tweet, the business executive explained that his sole intention is to get the games ready for the upcoming new version of Xbox, let it show and play. He even added that his confident with the results of the playable titles and that would be all of his explanation for fans to understand.
Recently, Microsoft already confirmed that its entire first-party games will all run at native 4K. According to Game Spot, the Microsoft Studios GM Shannon Loftis earlier said that any game titles that they are going to make that will be launched at the same time as Project Scorpio will natively render at 4K. However, as fans are now patiently waiting for its release, the tech giant revealed that they are now doing a trial game with the unit.
In another tweet by Phil Spencer, he updated his tech enthusiast followers by teasing that he has already played his first game on Project Scorpio. He even hinted that the games are playing great on the unit and the console looked definitely right. He, too, proudly commended his team for what they have attained.
This was the first time that Phil Spencer used the actual Project Scorpio and until now, it was more likely that Microsoft was still using devkits or computers targeted is processing specs. This only means that the tech giant's engineers might already finish their preliminary work to design the final system components of the upcoming gadget. Venture Beat reported that the company will continue to test the unit and will give the developers the remaining time to enhance the gadget and make it more powerful than ever.
