'Battlefield 1' News & Update: DICE Announces Community Test Environment Coming Soon

The 15th installment in the widely popular "Battlefield" series finally arrived in October in the form of "Battlefield 1" for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Just a few months following its release, however, DICE announces Community Test Environment coming soon online.

This has gotten fans excited, as these types of launches enables participating gamers to get their hands on upcoming patches and give them a test drive. According to PC Gamer, DICE announces Community Test Environment coming soon, with no "Battlefield 1" release date set as of the moment.

However, "Battlefield 1" gamers should expect "new features, improved/changed content, and experiments that aren’t yet (and may never be) ready for public release" in the following Community Test Environments. For now, however, the content that gamers will encounter in this CTE will be for the game's next big update.

As DICE announces Community Test Environment coming soon for "Battlefield 1," gamers should know that only a few lucky souls and some "Battlefield" veterans will be able to participate in the CTE. These select group of people will receive codes to access the CTE, and for those who won't be receiving codes, you can sign up via the "Battlefield 1" companion app on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile.

According to VG247, the upcoming CTE will feature content from the "Battlefield 1" patch arriving in February. It may also include content from the highly anticipated "They Shall Not Pass" DLC. As DICE announces Community Test Environment coming soon, gamers should know that the CTE will work like hte "Battlefield 4" CTE. "Battlefield 1" is now playable on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
