MMA Champion Conor McGregor Offered Leading Role In ‘Predator;’ Floyd Mayweather Fight Is Highly Possible
Century Fox is currently working on bringing "Predator" back to the big screen with Shane Black making his return to the series as the director and co-writer. While details aren't really known, reports are saying that MMA champion Conor McGregor was offered a lead role for the upcoming installment amidst the Mayweather controversy.
MMA champion Conor McGregor was offered a leading role in the "Predator" installment according to Screenrant but the Irishman reportedly declined the offer because the offer was too low. In an interview with "An Experience With," the MMA champion revealed the "Predator" movie was one of the many things he was offered. From his statement, he was excited to get the leading role in the "Predator" movie, to fight off the Predator itself. However, he claimed that the talent fee in return wasn't enough.
Conor McGregor further narrated that a lot of negotiations were discussed, but both parties haven't reached a mutual understanding yet. He weighed in his time spent making the movie and eight weeks is a long time to be earning the offered figure. More so, he pointed out that the film production may start around the time his son might be born. He said that he wouldn't want to gamble with that.
While Conor McGregor turned down "Predator," there's another project that he is very much interested in. Fans have been hoping that McGregor and Floyd Mayweather's fight will push through. According to Mayweather, the fight is very likely to happen, The Guardian reported. Over the weekend, he told Showtime in Las Vegas that he's actually looking forward to the fight. His statement came after the Irishman revealed that the fight being negotiated for a long time now. He added that it's the fight that he wants.
Although Floyd Mayweather revealed that the fight would certainly be one for entertainment and not for skills. He pointed out that both of them are very outspoken and they would deliver a great entertainment to fans regardless of the outcome.
