Seth Rollins was deprived of a chance to be at the Royal Rumble 2017, something credit to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The “Architect” did invade WWE NXT before the 30-man battle royal though the WWE COO used security to throw Rollins out of the building.

A lot of answers were expected at the Jun 30 edition of WWE Raw. Stephanie McMahon broke the ice and faces Seth Rollins, eventually telling him that her husband would face the former WWE champion before the night was over, WWE.com reported. At that point, most were expecting the much-awaited revelation of a mentor vs. student match between the former associates. Unfortunately, that will have to wait.

Triple H and Seth Rollins did come face-to-face with the former explaining why he turned on the “Architect”. The WWE COO says that Rollins could not rise in the WWE ranks on his own and such pushed him to ditch “Freaking” Seth Rollins and summon a ‘destroyer’ instead.

At first, most were under the impression that Triple H was referring to himself as the ‘destroyer’ with mayhem expected to follow. It turns out that it was the cue for two-time WWE NXT champion Samoa Joe to come in and hand Rollins a beating. Joe was previously believed to be among the WWE Royal Rumble participants though that never happened. Now, the picture is clear that Rollins will have to get through the 37-year-old star before getting his hands on Triple H.

The Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe storyline are expected to move on probably until WWE Fastlane. The coming shows will also be interesting with most expected to build on a Rollins vs. Triple H match most likely happening at Wrestlemania 33, Wrestling Inc. reported. That said, Triple H could be seen more on WWE shows in the coming months as he builds up for that epic clash most refer to as the “Battle of the Pedigrees”.
