"Friday The 13th" is reported to making a grand comeback in a form of a reboot, narrating the story of Jason Voorhees and how he has become a legendary killer. There are reports saying that a listing was spotted calling for an identical twin actors to play the young Jason.
"Friday The 13th" reboot is reportedly looking for identical twins to play as the young Jason Voorhees as reported by Bloody Disgusting. The report claims that Project Casting posted a casting call for identical twin actors - this is probably to accommodate the tight schedule. More so, the report suggested that the plot may further explore the event in the lake, where Jason supposedly died. This opened the possibility of his brother having died and not him. Be mindful though, all these are mere speculations and the listing did not specify why the role is looking for twins.
The casting also listed very specific requirements for young Jason Voorhees, which state that it should be Caucasian, 12 years of age and should have an identical twin with film credits to their name. It also specified that the boy should be less than five feet. "Friday The 13th" reboot won't accept any exceptions for the role, which was described as an ominous child with severe psychological issues.
The role also calls for a very electric and expressive face since young Jason apparently doesn't speak. "Friday the 13th" reboot will be a unique narration of how Jason Voorhees became a psycho-killer according to its official synopsis, Screen Rant said. It is expected to fill in the gap in Jason's life, from the time he appeared on the lake until he decided on a killing spree. Other specific details about the film are being kept under wraps as of the moment.
"Friday the 13th" reboot is going to start shooting with the young Jason Voorhees on March 19 until May 4, 2017. The 13th installment of the popular horror franchise will then hit the theaters on October 13, 2017, with a title "Friday the 13th, Part 13."
