‘Pokémon Sun & Moon’ Latest Update: Game To Receive Mega Stone Distribution; Cheaters Banned From Online Services
Nintendo recently reported a whopping 14.69 million sold copies for "Pokemon Sun and Moon," making the game the third highest selling software for 3Ds. As such, the game developer is making the titles even more interesting as it announced the distribution of Mega Stone real soon. More so, the game has banned cheaters from online services.
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" became the third highest selling software for 3Ds with 14.6 million units sold, coming next to "Mario Kart 7," which sold 14.82 million units, Gematsu reported. "Pokemon X and "Pokemon Y" still hold the top spot having sold 16.06 million units. As such, Nintendo keeps its promotion rolling, recently announcing the distribution of Mega Stones in the coming weeks. Players will now be able to gather and use more these special battle items, according to Polygon.
The Mega Stones will only be available to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players after they register in online competitions. The first one is scheduled in late February and players will receive the Mega Stones for Mawile and Beedrill as a gift. Interestingly, more Mega Stones will be made available in the future although Nintendo hasn't announced the exact release date. This includes Mega Stones not available yet in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
The report noted that Mega Evolutions were an integral part of "Pokemon X and Y," however the Z-Move took the limelight when it was rolled out in November. While the Mega Stones are readily available in "Pokemon Sun and Moon," players have to complete a series of games in order to obtain the special battle items. Meanwhile, around 6,000 "Pokemon and Sun" players were banned from using the Global Link.
The Pokemon Company confirmed a total of 5,954 players cheating, which means they either used hacks, modifications and other methods to alter items and trainer information. It remains unknown the specific cheats the players did. These players will receive an error code, banning them from participating in global missions.
