Fans will still need to wait a few more months before the "Stranger Things" Season 2 air date is announced, but everyone can rest assured that the first episode of new season will be truly exciting. David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper in the Netflix series, has just admitted that he got excited over the script for the premiere episode "Madmax".

There is little doubt that big things will be happening for David Harbour's character in "Stranger Things" Season 2. After all, Hopper was last seen leaving some Eggos in a box in the woods, presumably for the missing Eleven. Will Millie Bobby Brown's character come back from the Upside Down in the second season's premiere episode? What will happen in "Madmax"?

David Harbour recently spoke with Vanity Fair, where he shared how he was excited when he received "the first script of Season 2." According to the "Stranger Things" Season 2 actor, he was on his feet in "the first five minutes" of the premiere episode. Although Harbour did not reveal what happens in the beginning of "Madmax", some speculate that it could have something to do with Eleven's highly anticipated return. Or could it have something to do with the boys or perhaps another fleeting glimpse at a second Demogorgon?

It is possible that David Harbour's Hopper could play a significant role in the "Stranger Things" Season 2 premiere, which is also expected to introduce a brand new character named Max. The new girl will be played by Sadie Sink and is set to become an interesting addition to the Netflix show's young cast. Will Max have a memorable encounter with Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will in "Madmax"?

The "Stranger Things" Season 2 air date has not yet been announced by Netflix. However, the new season has already began production and fans are expecting "Madmax" to premiere in late summer this year.
