WWE Latest News & Update: Randy Orton Hints At Another John Cena Match At Wrestlemania 33

Randy Orton is waiting in the wings to find out who he will meet at Wrestlemania 33. John Cena is the reigning champion though there is still the WWE Elimination Chamber to worry about. The said pay-per-view is scheduled for Feb. 12 where the Cenation leader will need to get through 5 other opponents to retain the gold.

WWE commissioner Shane McMahon announced during the Jan. 31 edition of WWE SmackDown the participants. The list includes AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, The Miz and Intercontinental champion Dean Ambrose. Orton will be an interested spectator and may inadvertently get himself involved. With the “Eater of Worlds” reiterating earlier on during the show that the WWE SmackDown heavyweight title would come to the Wyatt family, Cena faces, even more, obstacles ahead.

For Randy Orton, another showdown with John Cena is something he would love to do. He hinted at the possibility at Talking Smack, backing it up by saying that it is a match that fans will want – whether they know it or not. Aside from that, he gave his kudos to Cena for tying the 16 world titles Ric Flair had. He added however that all that means nothing to him, singling out how he had 12 world titles as well, Wrestling Inc. reported.

Randy Orton’s claim is something that has expectedly not sit well with the WWE Universe. Prior to his revelation, many believed that a Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton matchup offered more interest. In order for that to happen, Wyatt must win at the WWE Elimination Chamber in Phoenix on Feb. 12.

If so, this is where things get a bit interesting. A Cena loss would mean a short title-reign what may be harmful in the end. There are alleged plans of a mixed tag match involving Cena and Nikki Bella for Wrestlemania 33, facing the tandem of The Miz and Maryse. According to Cageside Seats, this would be Nikki’s last match in the WWE due to her neck problems.
