'For Honor' Release Date, News & Update: Ubisoft Announces Free DLC, Season Pass Plans; Delivers Excellent Frame Rates on PS4, PS4 Pro

With only a few more days to go before "For Honor" hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Ubisoft fans are already excited to see what's in store for the game. Following its successful beta, Ubisoft announces free DLC, Season Pass plans for the upcoming game. What's more, players on the Sony console would be glad to know that the game delivers excellent frame rates on both the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

According to GameSpot, the upcoming Season Pass for "For Honor' will cost $40 and will come with six new heroes that gamers can get their hands on, seven days before everyone else gets them. The much coveted Season Pass will also include "elite" outfits for the six DLC fighters, and an interesting Day One War Pack. The Day One War Pack features some goodies, including effects for hero emotes, three emblem outlines, and three scavenger crates that gives gamers more loot.

It also includes a "Champion Status" that will last for 30 days and lets gamers have some extra XP for crafting and give XP boosts to teammates. As Ubisoft announces free DLC, Season Pass plans for "For Honor," gamers should know that the Season Pass contents minus the six new fighters and their outfits will be available once "For Honor" hits retailers this Valentine's Day. Gamers who are interested in the Season Pass should consider the Gold Edition with the $100 price tag, as it comes free with this package.

As Ubisoft announces free DLC, Season Pass plans for "For Honor," gamers should also know that there are more maps, modes, and great coming your way following the DLC release. As with other content, Season Pass holders who have first dibs on the content. For those who don't want to purchase the Season Pass but want the new heroes, you'll have to spend some in-game currency for that.

Meanwhile, "For Honor" delivers excellent frame rates on PS4 and PS4 Pro, as per VG247. The beta recently concluded to positive reviews, and featured a 1080p native display for the standard version, as well as 1440p on PS4.
