"The 100" season 4 finally aired its premiere episode on Wednesday and hit a record-breaking low compared to season 3 premiere, according to Variety. The CWs post-apocalyptic series returned with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, earning 1.27 million viewers on its premiere. It was suggested that one of the reasons for the decline is its lead-in of "Arrow," which didn't provide enough nudge that that the series got with "Legends of Tomorrow" with last year's premiere. However, some of the series will see an increase of 50 percent or more viewing after the first seven days are counted in. Meanwhile, "The 100" season 4 premiere showed the direct repercussions of City of Light's destruction.
The season kicked off with Clark (Eliza Taylor) dealing with ALIE's news of a nuclear disaster. She found herself on her father's shoes before he died, opting not to follow his footsteps and kept the bad news to herself and Bellamy (Bob Morley) for the meantime. Also, "Echoes" did not hold back in showing the effects of war to people and land as they come free from the control of artificial intelligence, Vulture said.
The next episode of "The 100" season 2 titled "Heavy Lies the Crown" will see Clarke and Bellamy deal the heavy burden of leading. They will be forced to determine who will live or die in the next episode. So do you think there' still hope for the remaining survivors? Catch "The 100" season 4 on The Cw on February 8, 2017.
