‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers & Recap: Stefan Kills Enzo, Michael Malarkey Hints Enzo May Not Be Dead Yet
Last Friday's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 saw Stefan ripping off Enzo's heart from his chest, a death that many fans haven't seen coming. As the final episode looms ahead, the actor who portrays Enzo teases fans the remaining moments of the long-running The CW series.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 just killed off another major character to the surprise of many fans. The 11th episode of season 8 saw the death of Enzo (Michael Malarkey) in the hands of Stefan (Paul Wesley), Screener reported. Fans will be haunted with the blood-curling and guttural screams of Bonnie as she cradles the decaying body of Enzo after Stefan rips off his heart. However, many fans doubt if Enzo is really dead since many vampires had their hearts ripped out but miraculously come back to life. So fans can't help but wonder if Enzo is really dead.

The website reached out to the Michael Malarkey - the actor who portrayed Enzo - to ask if he already misses his TVD co-stars. He said that he has so much going on right now, that he has no time to fully realize the end of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. Interestingly, Malarkey answered in a way that seemed to suggest he isn't fully done filming with the series. He said that if he did his last scene for the series, then maybe the nostalgia will kick in.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 has only five episodes left and killing off a major character may not be all too surprising. Before the Friday's episode, TV Fanatic reached out to Michael Malarkey to get his take on how his character will fare towards the end.
He already hinted that there will be a few shockers along the way that will take fans in an intense ride towards the ending. He could already be talking about his character's death at that time. However, he also teased that there will be love and marriage towards the ending too. "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 airs Friday nights on The CW.
