WWE Latest News & Update: Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker Is Safety Precaution Of Vince McMahon

Suggestions of a Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker match has been buzzing recently and not all WWE fans are happy. Some are still sore at seeing the Big Dog get the aggressive push, something Vince McMahon and company have been trying to do for the last two years.

Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker is slowly being wooed as one of the big cards for Wrestlemania 33 this April. The “Dead Man” was previously tied up to a possible card against Braun Strowman though some changes are reportedly being made, the Wrestling Observer newsletter reported (subscription required) via Cageside seats. Also, there was that segment at the Royal Rumble 2017 where Reigns eliminated the Undertaker and told him that ‘this was his yard now’.

Reigns has resumed his appearances while the Undertaker is out once again. The word out is that the “Phenom” got injured at the battle royal, something likely tied up to the hip surgery he underwent some months back. Speaking of the Undertaker’s health problems, the recent word now is that the planned Wrestlemania 33 match may be the “Dead Man’s” last.

Understandably, the Undertaker is simply pushing himself to something his body may no longer be able to take, Wrestling News reported. There were past rumors that he would be retiring though it was supposed to be John Cena having the honor. The creative team has a different storyline for Cena, allegedly a mixed tag match involving Nikki Bella. Like the Undertaker, there is talk that Nikki may be retiring too because of neck issues.

For Reigns, expect the boos and jeers to continue. But rather than fight it, he could use that and turn heel. The face-run for the former WWE champion has not gone according to plan though there is always a way around it. Cena and Seth Rollins were able to do it so Reigns may want to work on that with the WWE creative team.
