There's only a week left before the new Ubisoft hack and slash game, "For Honor" hits retailers. As review copies on hold until launch, it seems that gamers will definitely have to wait until February 14 to get their hands on it. Nonetheless, there's always the beta test to look forward to this Thursday, and the pre-load for beta available now is another thing that participants can enjoy.

According to VG247, the open beta for "For Honor" is set for Thursday and gamers who would like to participate in it can already get their hands on the pre-load for beta available now. Participants on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC are required to have at least 19GB worth of space for the "For Honor" open beta. But what can gamers look forward to in the open beta now that review copies on hold until launch?

The "For Honor" open beta will feature content much like that of the recently concluded closed beta. However, gamers can look forward to a new mode called Elimination, in which four players are pitted against a team of another four players. This Elimination mode requires gamers to battle it out for five rounds with no respawn in order to defeat their enemies. As review copies on hold until launch, there is a good reason for Ubisoft to keep it that way.

The "For Honor" review copies on hold until launch is because the game uses servers and an internet connection, which will be allotted to the open beta this Thursday, which is why they cannot accommodate players just yet, PlayStation Lifestyle reported. In the meantime, pre-load for beta available now, and gamers can look forward to enjoying Dominion, Brawl, and Duel, as well as the previously released nine heroes.

The "For Honor" beta begins this February 9 and will last through February 12. For now, review copies on hold until launch, but participants can access pre0load for beta available now. "For Honor" lands on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on February 14.
