'Overwatch' News & Update: This Is How Badly 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Star Terry Crews Wants To Play Doomfist
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is on hiatus right now and will return in April, but that doesn't mean that the stars aren't keeping themselves busy. In fact, Terry Crews, who plays Sergeant Terry Jeffords on the show, has recently taken upon himself to create a mock audition for the voice role of "Overwatch" character Doomfist. Crews is a self-proclaimed "Overwatch" superfan and has previously expressed his desire to lend his voice to the character.
According to IGN, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Terry Crews has recently taped a video for Yahoo eSports, in which he performed a mock audition for the voice role of "Overwatch"'s Doomfist. The character was once a minor addition to "Overwatch," but thanks to his popularity among gamers and fans, the development team seems to be considering giving him a more prominent role moving forward.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Terry Crews isn't shy about his desires to lend his voice to Doomfist, as the actor even visited the Blizzard studios and has received an endorsement from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson himself, as per GameSpot. Whether or not Blizzard will heed the call is up to them now, as the ball is indeed in their court and has been for quite some time now. In other "Overwatch" news, however, it seems that game director Jeff Kaplan has some advice for gamers who use the mosue and keyboard as a controller despite using the console.
He said that the "Overwatch" team "onbjects" to using the mouse and keyboard when on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Gamers have good reason to use them though, as Polygon reports that a mouse provides more precise aiming than a control stick. However, using the keyboard and mouse will require converters, as consoles often do not support such hardware.
