'Indiana Jones 5' News & Update: Harrison Ford Will Live As Archaeologist After Han Solo's Death In 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'
When Harrison Ford's most iconic character, Han Solo, was killed off in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," nobody saw it coming and nobody was ready for it. But fans can still watch the beloved actor on the big screen as the most popular archaeologist in another installment of his team up with Steven Spielberg, "Indiana Jones 5."
At the age of 74, Harrison Ford is definitely not showing signs of slowing down. As a matter of fact, the A-list actor and film producer is set to reprise his role in "Indiana Jones 5" after the shocking death of his famous "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" character. “There is only one Indiana Jones, and he’s it,” Frank Marshall told NY Daily News at the BAFTA L.A. Awards Season Party. “I think you saw that there’s only one Han Solo, and he did it, so I am very positive he’ll be able to pull it off again.”
Meanwhile, the Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg team up's development is still uncertain. Although the "Indiana Jones 5" release date has already been set, a report revealed that the film is still in need of a script. Without a script, there is no movie to develop. This update could spell trouble to the highly-anticipated "Indiana Jones 5."
This is not the first problem that the movie has faced. Collider has previously reported that George Lucas is no longer involved in "Indiana Jones 5." George Lucas is well-known filmmaker, best known for creating the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchise. Shockingly, the report revealed that Steven Spielberg has decided to move on with "Indiana Jones 5" without George Lucas.
Whispers and speculations about the "Indiana Jones 5" movie have been swirling ever since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, but the studio's first priority was understandably resurrecting "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Despite the lack of script and announcement, "Indiana Jones 5" is set to release in the US on July, 19, 2019.
