'Yuri On Ice' Season 2 News & Update: Mitsurou Kubo May Already Have Ideas For Much-Awaited Sequel
After the "Yuri On Ice" Season 1 Episode 12 concluded, many are already anticipating for the sequel. However, a month has passed and yet there is still no update regarding the existence of "Yuri On Ice" season 2. Now, a new report is giving fans hope that the possibility of the Japanese sports anime television series sequel may finally be announced by the creator herself, Mitsurou Kubo.
Fans in Japan will have the chance to relive all the amazing episodes of "Yuri On Ice." TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills will be holding a marathon event on February 11 at 10 p.m., as reported by Crunchyroll. Tickets to the event are 3,000 yen (approx. $26).
As if watching "Yuri On Ice" with fellow fans in a huge movie theater is not enough, the site revealed that the exciting event will included a talk show segment, to be attended by special guests like the show's creator, Mitsurou Kubo. Voice actors for Yuri Katsuki (Toshiyuki Toyonaga), Victor Nikiforov (Junichi Suwabe), and Yuri Plisetsky a.k.a. Yurio (Kouki Uchiyama will also be present in the event.
Since the "Yuri On Ice" talk show and marathon event is going to be huge, many are expecting that Mitsurou Kubo will take this opportunity to announce the much-awaited "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 release date. Although there is a high chance that this may happen, Mitsurou Kubo has remained tight-lipped as to what is in store for the fans in the February event.
Meanwhile, Yuri Katsuki's voice actor made fans hopeful for the possibility of "Yuri On Ice" Season 2. In a recent interview with Spoon 21, Toshiyuki Toyonaga mentioned that Mitsurou Kubo has already some ideas for the the "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 content. In the meantime, fans are left with no choice but to do the waiting game until the marathon event arrives.
