NFL 2017 Latest News & Update: Myles Garrett Clarifies Dallas Cowboys Draft Rant, Open To Joining Any Team
The 2017 NFL Draft is the next agenda for most NFL teams who are looking to inject young blood next season. Myles Garrett is one of the favorites for the coming draft, a defensive end who could be headed to the Cleveland Browns if he had his wish.
Speaking to KRIV-TV in Houston, Garrett hinted at wanting to play for the Browns. Depending on what happens in the 2017 NFL Draft, the defensive end is open to playing anywhere and says it all depends on a person’s mindset. Would that include the Dallas Cowboys? Two months ago, a video showing Garrett making a plea to the Dallas Cowboys came out, ESPN reported.
It was a time when Myles was reportedly in a playful mood, a relaxed interview taken at the College Football Awards on Dec. 8. Someone asked the 21-year-old Texas A&M player if he was aiming for a specific NFL team. The one who made the video said that it should be 100-percent supposed to be fun. On cue, Garrett did just that, telling Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones he wanted in and begging to be taken in.
Being a high-profile candidate, the video caught lots of attention and seemingly in the wrong way. The whole thing got out of hand and Garret asked people to simmer down and take a joke. With all that settled, Garrett is more concerned about which team picks him up and how he can make a difference.
Myles Garrett is seen as the potential top pick in the coming NFL draft. According to Yahoo Sports, the defensive end will not be on set, preferring to watch everything at home with his family at home. Such a move is rare, though Dan Wilkinson did the same in 1994. Aside from that, all top picks were in attendance, the last of which was Jared Goff last year, Yahoo Sports reported.
