'Battlefield 1' Latest News: Winter Update Arriving This Week, Features HDR Support On Consoles
The Winter Update for EA DICE's "Battlefield 1" is fast approaching, despite its release date not being disclosed at the moment. The studio, however, took to Twitter to tease the existence of such Winter Update that is supposedly arriving this week. The patch notes are not available as well, but the studio says that it will be one hefty update that gamers are sure to enjoy.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the Winter Update arriving this week features HRD support on consoles. This means that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers can finally have a better gaming experience with the "Battlefield 1" Winter Update. EA DICE commented via Twitter that they are "committed to supporting HDR on PS4 Pro/Xbox One.

As per GameSpot, the Winter Update arriving this week for "Battlefield 1" is independent from tjhe upcoming first expansion titled "They Shall Not Pass," which is slated for a March release. Moreover, the public test servers are now up for "Battlefield 1," and gamers may notice some changes that may be in the Winter Update arrving this week that featres HRD support on consoles.
Some changes in the public test servers for "Battlefield 1" include the retun of riboons, an increased maximum rank of 50, and a voting capability for choosing the next map at the end o the game. EA DICE has not disclosed if these are changes in the upcoming Winter Update arriving this week.
In the meantime, gamers can also anticipate "They Shall Not Pass," which features several maps set in the Battle of Verdun and Battle of Soissons. Gamers can also look forward to the Char 2C vehicle and Saint-Chamont tanks, and an awesome new elite class called the Trench Raider. "Battlefield 1" is now playable on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
