This March 3, "X-Men" fans will finally bid goodbye to Hugh Jackman's Wolverine with "Logan," the highly anticipated final film in the "Wolverine" franchise. It is also Jackman's final bow as the iconic character, which is most likely why director James Mangold and Jackman decided to go another route with the story. In fact, studio Fox concerned about Hugh Jackman film's intense tone.

According to Variety, Twentieth Century Fox Film's chairman Stacey Snider admitted that "Logan" was concerning for the studio because of the "intensity of the tone of the film." From the trailers and two TV spots released alone, fans and viewers noticed a stark difference from the upcoming film to the previous "Wolverine" and "X-Men" films.

Jackman previously admitted that this upcoming film may not necessarily exist in the same universe as the previous "Wolverine" and "X-Men" films. Describing it as an "elegy about life and death," Snider admitted that the Western approach to creating "Logan" helped them imagine the character as a more human and less mutant type of character.

This is the same goal that Mangold had in mind in creating the film. He wanted it to be more human than the previous iterations of Wolverine. You can get a glimpse of how different this upcoming film is with the new 1970s-inspired poster tweeted by Jackman himself, as well as the two TV spots released for "Logan".

According to IGN, the two TV spots released are titled "Last Hope" and "Hero," and focus more on the villain, Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook). The 1970s-inspired poster is also very Western, with hues of red and brown and a painting-like touch to the characters' images. "Logan" arrives in theaters this March 3.
