Niantic fulfilled its promise, releasing “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 as scheduled. With the new version, augmented reality players are likely busy trying to snag the 80+ pocket monsters which include critters from Pokemon Go and Pokemon Silver. There are also the new baby Pokemon most can hatch the eggs and through incubators, plus a whole lot more.

With so many things to tinker on in “Pokemon Go” Gen 2, there is one popular creature who may eventually steal the show – Eevee. With the new Eevee Evolutions, players can produce either an Espeon or a Umbreon. All one has to do is get one of them is to name an Eevee Sakura or Tamao Sakura which will turn the critter into Espeon or Umbreon respectively, Slash Gear reported.

This should be great news to “Pokemon Go” players eager for something new from Niantic. But for those who have started catching the new ones, most are probably aware that there are a lot of creatures with new evolutions to digest. Aside from the Eevee Evolutions, other worthy “Pokemon Go” critters worth looking into are Tyranitar and Blissey, Forbes reported.

Blissey is something that results from the Chansey evolution while Tyranitaur evolves from Lavitar and Pupitar. Tyranitar is considered the strongest since he has the highest max CP potential. For those who have been playing “Pokemon Go” or returned to the game, there could be some erratic connections happening along the way.

The word out is that the massive gen 2 update has been taking its toll on the “Pokemon Go” servers, cause by the increase in a number of gamers/trainers logging on. With tons of new features and a massive influx of new “Pokemon Go” monsters, this hardly comes as a surprise. It remains to be seen how long the hype will last. Given that number of critters out there, that could take a while. Will Niantic resort to some form of an upgrade?
