NBA 2017 Latest News & Updates: Jeremy Lin Tries Jimmy Neutron Hairstyle For Size

Jeremy Lin could be returning after the NBA All-Star break once he gets clearance for his hamstring injury. For the meantime, the American-Asian takes time out for his other hobby – hairstyling. Lin has been notorious for trying out different hairdos and now he may have overdone himself.

Jeremy Lin posted on Instagram his new project, the Jimmy Neutron hairstyle. The 28-year-old Brooklyn Nets guard may have taken note of the cartoon character’s unique hairstyle, something that seemed impossible to sport. Thanks to some creative stylist, Lin found out that it could be done, after all, Bleacher Report noted. It is the latest style from the Nets guard who has already tried styles like a Mohawk, ponytails, and spikes. Could he sport it once he is cleared to return?

Speaking of returns, there is no definite date on when “Linsanity” will be back in harness. He has been dealing with a recurring hamstring injury and the Nets are taking a cautious approach. The Nets are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings and seem well on their way to missing the NBA playoffs, the NY Post reported. That alone could be factored in on whether Lin will return to action for the remainder of the season or not.

The final say will be on general manager Sean Marks and coach Kenny Atkinson. At 9-47, a run at the eighth slot is technically out of reach for the Nets. Aside from Lin, the Nets could be releasing some of their assets such as Brook Lopez or even Bojan Bogdanovic. These could be part of a way to rid themselves of high salaries and start fresh next NBA season.

Jeremy Lin is expected to stay on, hopefully getting help before the Feb. 23 deadline or in the offseason. The Nets are trying to jockey for a 2017 NBA draft position and cash in on the expected deep draft. Brooklyn’s slot is owed to the Boston Celtics. Thanks to their mediocre record, the Celtics have a good chance snagging a rookie in the top four.
