MacBook 2017 Latest News & Updates: Microsoft Office Access Just Got Better With Touch Bar Support

Apple’s MacBook Pro has gotten its share of jabs though a recent update tied up to the Touch Bar interface could help. With most notebooks used for document and spreadsheet work, Microsoft Office just got a big boost with some Touch Bar integration. Layouts for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint have been enabled with Outlook and Skype following soon.

Thus, Microsoft Office becomes the latest popular app to get some MacBook Pro Touch Bar love following Adobe Photoshop and Apple’s Final Cut Pro. Among the things MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models can do is insert comments, photos, and hyperlinks, Engadget reported. All users will have to do is drag along the Touch Bar without worrying about messing up what they are working on.

The addition should be a reprieve of sorts for MacBook Pro with Touch Bar owners. Considering that this model costs a lot (pricing starts at $1,799 for the 13-inch model), enabling features with the much-hyped Touch Bar feature should be worth it. For those seeking some savings, Adorama and B& H are offering regular deals on the 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models per Apple Insider. B&H is offering a $150 price off, bringing down the SRP to $1,649.

For its part, Adorama is offering a $415 price off on the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar bundled with 3 years of AppleCare extended warranty protection. For those who find the prices still steep, Best Buy is offering $250 off the $1,499 13-inch MacBook Pro model with no Touch Bar according to Fox News.

Despite the issues hounding the MacBook Pro (i.e. battery and display issues), the frequent push to make it better should calm down the backlash from disappointed customers. There are alleged 2017 models coming with most hoping to see models sporting better processors – to be more precise, an Intel Kaby Lake chipset with bigger RAM.
