Lindsay Lohan Encourages People To Support Donald Trump; Mentions 'Mean Girls' Reboot
Lindsay Lohan said that people should just support the new president of the United States, Donald Trump instead of going against him.
In a Facebook Live interview with Daily Mail, the "Mean Girls" actress expressed her opinion about the new government and told people to join him if they cannot beat him. "He is the president - we have to join him," she told. Her statement came, following the discussion about the new executive order on travel ban of people in Muslim countries.
Lindsay Lohan Calls On People To support Donald Trump
Lindsay Lohan revealed that she has been studying the Quran for quite some time now and that upon hearing the news that Donald Trump signed the order, she initially got scared. She added "I was scared to come here with everything going on because of my personal beliefs."
Lindsay Lohan admitted that she is attracted to the religion, saying how she admired people who come together and pray. She said she finds peace and serenity in learning about the religion.
The actress also urged Donald Trump to try visiting countries who welcome Syrian refugees like Turkey, where she has been staying for some time, The Huffington Post said.
"I think it would be a positive thing for America to show their care and support, and for him to experience what it's like for these people," the actress said. Lindsay Lohan added that Turkey has been very accommodating of the refugees, as they have welcomed many of them.
Lindsay Lohan Hints At "Mean Girls" Reboot
Aside from her political opinions, the former child superstar also hinted of reviving her role as Cady Heron in "Mean Girls." She said that it would be great to revisit "Mean Girls" and have the original cast play their roles, but this time, they should now be mothers.
