Donald Trump News: US President May Not Watch The Oscars; Here's Why
The latest Donald Trump news seem to suggest that the U.S. President may not be watching the Academy Awards this Sunday night. Know the reason why this could be happening.
Donald Trump May Not Watch The Oscars
Donald Trump has criticized the Oscars on social media over the years. Will he continue to do so this year? In 2015, for instance, Trump was so disillusioned by the biggest night in Hollywood - he indicated that he should be the host in 2016, as noted by AOL. In 2014, the President of The United States had slammed the ceremony by making comments like "bullsh*t" and "amateur night".
Though that did not happen, although one question that many people have in their minds, is whether the President will watch the Oscars this Sunday or not, The Huffington Post reported. Sean Spicer, the press secretary of the White House recently revealed the official reason.
Official Reason Cited For Donald Trump's Impending Absence
Spicer said, "I think Hollywood is known for being rather far to the left in its opinions." The press secretary revealed that to be very honest with all, he thinks that Trump would be busy with the Governors Ball the same night. He added that the First Lady is keen on organizing a great event.
It seems that she has given a lot of effort and time for the success of the event, as it is meant to welcome the governors of the nation in the city. So, his gut feeling says that both the President and his wife will have their focus on that big event.
But Trump's feud with Hollywood actress Meryl Streep and some other personalities are well-known. So, though he has been a reality star in the past, he may not feel too friendly about the entertainment industry at this point in time.
Along with that, is he anticipating that there could be some anti-administration comments at the Oscars this year? In case President Donald Trump feels that way, he would perhaps want to keep his distance from the show.
