"Game of Thrones" Season 7 Possible Release Date

Many outlets have already discussed the delay of "Game of Thrones" Season 7. It seems that the premiere of season 7 is really pushed to = summer of 2017, although no date has been specified yet, Den of Geek noted.

Executive producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff believed that the plot of the upcoming season could be showcased in a more effective manner by beginning their production when there is a change in the weather. This was shared some time back by the President of programming in HBO, Casey Bloys. He revealed, "Instead of the show's traditional spring debut, we're moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule."

"Game of Thrones": More Episode And Cast Updates

The series will have seven episodes in total in the upcoming season. One good news is that fans of Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) can be rest assured that the character's return is confirmed in season 8.

Turner was addressing a press conference at the recently concluded BAFTA Awards when she slipped that she will have to keep her schedule free for season 8 in the later months of 2017. Now, that is something her fans to be really delighted about for sure.

Bittersweet End Revealed for "Game of Thrones"

Though the series is not ending that soon, it appears that both the cast and viewers have started realizing it. The fact that there is only more season left after the conclusion of season 7 created tension among the members of the production team, Cinema Blend wrote.

Since there is not much time left for the end of season 8, the team is presently giving its best to wrap up all the important story lines. George R.R. Martin had previously mentioned that viewers can expect a bittersweet rather than a devastating end of this popular series.
