‘Girl Meets World’ Season 4 Possibilitiy Still There, Rowan Blanchard’s ‘The Goldbergs’ Role Won’t Trouble Lead Role in S4
As we all know, Disney has said No to “Girl Meets World” Season 4, although some reports are creating buzz that some TV networks are not ready to pick up the much-hyped sequel to “Boy Meets World” due to many reasons.
Whereas, despite the fact that fans started an online campaign appealing to Netflix to renew the program, no developmens have been noticed on this issue. One more television broadcaster, Hulu is also known for not confirming its final decision of airing “Girl Meets World.”
The search for a new home is still not finished for “Girl Meets World” series co-creator Michael Jacobs, who is also famous for his much-acclaimed television series like “Dinosaurs,” “Lost At Home,” and “Boy Meets World,” just to name a few.
Why Did Disney Channel Say No To “Girl Meets World” Season 4?
“Girl Meets World” is still known as one of Disney Channel’s best received series, as the show started outgrowing Disney’s target demographic. This is a network that primary targets kids between 6 and 14 and expected to be supported by the advertisers pitching the products falling in the age range. However, “Girl Meets World” was not fulfilling that criterion.
Deadline reported that the series opened with a global premiere audience of 5.2 million viewers on Disney but the series was able to maintain a steady core fan base with similar viewership between 1.7-1.8 million per episode for both seasons 2 and 3.
What if “Girl Meets World” Season 4 Comes To Existence?
While Michael Jacobs was recently questioned about the possibility of “Girl Meets World” Season 4, he said that the show’s ultimate fate would be known within a few months and that it would be positive. He further hinted the storyline for the expected season 4, saying that the story will primarily deal with the main characters’ grown up phase in life.
However, Rowan Blanchard, known for playing lead character Riley Matthews in “Girl Meets World”, is all set to appear on-screen in at least one upcoming episode of ABC’s “The Goldbergs” Season 4, as confirmed by Cinema Blend. But this still doesn’t mean that Rowan Blanchard will not play the lead role for “Girl Meets World” Season 4, if the show finds a new way to rule the small screen again.
