iPad Pro 2 Latest News & Update: 10.5-inch Variant To Come Out With High Resolution Display
Apple is expected to release its new batch of iPads next month with a 9.7-, 10.5- and a 12.9-inch variant. Each is catered to a specific kind of market with the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 looming as the recommended variant for the average consumer. The focus is on the display size on the upcoming variants of the tablet.
While seemingly a bit bigger, the 10.5-inch will almost be the same as the 9.7-inch mainly because of its sports a smaller bezel, according to Forbes. This means that it will be physically the same with some slight differences. That would include the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 sporting a higher resolution display which is said to be 2224x1668, a big bump from the current 2048x1536 while maintaining the same PPI.
The move is something that would help bump up the pixel density of the said iPad Pro 2 variant. So once they do come out, there could be some confusion due to the similarities in sizes. Hence, it would be best to keep an eye out for the bezels, not to mention the display resolution to spot the difference, Ubergizmo reported.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 variant will be the cheapest of the lot, something made for the starters or the ones not inclined to spend much on tablets. It could cost as low as $299 with no word yet on other specs it may carry such as processors, though CNet suggests it could be either an A10x or A9x. For the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2, there is still no word on how much its price range would be.
With the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro in the market costing $59, Apple may lower the price a bit to make it more cost-friendly. From here, it remains to be seen if the new generation of iPad Pro 2 will become a big hit. Apple has teased it to be better than a laptop though there are still questions on accessories and apps that can parallel what modern laptops carry. All that should be revealed next month, so wait for it.
