Katie Holmes Wants To Direct Films

"For now I like acting and directing," the "Dawson's Creek" actress says. "Eventually, I will just direct."

Katie Holmes made her debut of film directorial last year for her movie, "All We Had." She admitted that the new journey is quite scary for her, but she said her love for the craft made her inspired to continue directing.

"It has been something that has come to me over time," Holmes continued. "I have been acting for about 20 years now and in the last few years I have become more confident and gotten more interested in storytelling as a whole."

Katie Holmes admitted that the Hollywood business is unstable, which made her realize that actors will never always know where they would be. She also stated that directing films will help her spend more time with Suri, because she wants to be present in her life.

"I feel so blessed to do what I do," she adds, "but there is nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."
