According to Gamespot, The Coalition has listened to the feedback of gamers about "inconsistencies" with the Gnasher weapon. The studio will be releasing a Mar. update that brings consistency to Gnasher weapon. In fact, the studio revealed that they will be changing some properties of the weapon so that it can "more accurately match player's expectations."
In a recent blog post by The Coalition, the studio detailed how they realized that a mechanic in "Gears of War 4" has been the reason why there has been inconsistencies with the Gnasher weapon. Now, The Coalition's Mar. update brings consistency to Gnasher weapon in "Gears of War 4."
The thing with the Gnasher weapon is that the pellet traverses from the stock of the gun trough the barrel, making players unable to shoot through walls. This also causes the weapon to have a wider spread, causing player to think they've missed some pellets when in fact, they should be able to hit the whole cluster.

As The Coalition's Mar. update brings consistency to the Gnasher weapon, the studio also released an image comparing the fire of the Gnasher before the update and after the update. According to Windows Central, the Gnasher isn't the only weapon to receive changes.
