According to a recent report from Unreality TV, it looks like "The Vampire Diaries" pair, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will reunite in "The Originals." The ex-couple might join the spinoff after they complete the "TVD" Season 8.

Nina Dobrev is allegedly bringing Katherine Pierce back in the finale of "TVD," as she returns to Mystic Falls. The "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" actress will reportedly join Somerhalder if he was to join "TO."
Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are yet to confirm the reunion news, but the publication added that the actor would prefer to work with his ex-girlfriend than to be unemployed. However, Ian Somerhalder is yet to respond to the rumors.
Meanwhile, "TO" is yet to be renewed and The CW network President is still hoping that the series will have a great performance before it ends the current season. “I hope The Originals can continue,” The President of CW, Mark Pedowitz said about the future of "TO" series. “A lot of it depends on its performance. I am counting on [creator Julie Plec] to deliver for this season.”

In the meantime, Celebeat unveiled that Ian Somerhalder's wife might be unhappy with the reunion of her husband and Nina Dobrev. Ian Somerhalder allegedly tried to avoid Nina Dobrev at the set of "TVD" because he does not want to upset his wife. Nikki Reed is yet to comment on her real reaction about the reunion news.
