Actress Shannen Doherty has been spotted once again by the public eye after two years of hiatus for battling breast cancer. On Saturday, the "Charmed" star graced the red carpet, months after her chemotherapy and radiation treatments ended.

Today got the chance to talk to Shannen Doherty before she spoke at the Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation's first annual Gratitude Gala. When asked how she's doing, she said she feels great. "I mean, I feel good. I'm super positive, I'm happy with where I'm at right now. Cancer, for me, as hard as it is, has been a blessing. It has changed who I am as a human being forever. It's altered my life in ways I can't even speak of."

Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer more than two years ago. Since then, she underwent a number of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She confided to Entertainment Tonight that losing her iconic hair was one of the most difficult things to experience during the treatment. The "Beverly Hills 90210" star sported long dark hair and bangs as Brenda Walsh in the hit 90s teen TV series.

She shared that the Big C can be depressing and isolating and it can "overwhelm your life". Fortunately Shannen Doherty has great support behind her from her friends and family, including her four-legged friend Bowie. Her dog cuddles with her and can tell if she's really sick and depressed. That is why she felt she needed to attend the event to speak up for the pets and pet owners.

Another reason Shannen Doherty graced the event is because of she also supports her friend, AHWF founder Marc Ching, to put an end to dog abuse and meat trade, which is an existing situation in Asia. She sees Ching as an inspiration. "I think what he faces on a daily basis makes my cancer look mild, because that's something that chemo doesn't get rid of and radiation doesn't get rid of - what he bears witness to," she said.
