Original Pink Ranger Surprises 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' Cast; Here's How The Prank Went
Although none of the original cast members of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" are included in the 2017 reboot - save for Bryan Cranston, it is amazing to think that original cast is supporting the upcoming movie.
A clip shows Amy Jo Johnson, the actress who played the original Pink Ranger in the hit 90s TV series, trying to prank the stars of the movie by disguising herself as a reporter, according to Variety. While the prank was well conceived, it didn't go entirely well.
Amy Jo Johnson didn't age a bit and is instantly recognizable, as pointed out by Dacre Montgomery - the new Red Ranger of the upcoming "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie. Naomi Scott - the new Pink Ranger, also gushed on how she tweets Amy Jo. The interview still went on even if the prank was busted earlier on.
The new "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" cast shared with Johnson that they didn't get to do acrobatics, as opposed to the original cast. Amy Jo Johnson, on the other hand, said how jealous she is that their characters have superhuman strength and other powers even if they are not in their Rangers uniforms.
So what is Amy Jo Johnson up to now? After her "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" stint, she is now busy film-making, promoting her film and directorial debut, "The Space Between."
Amy Jo Johnson isn't the only original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" original cast member who met the new cast. Jason David Frank - the original Green/White Ranger, made time to meet with Ludi Lin - the new Black Ranger, to promote an upcoming mobile game titled "Power Rangers: Legacy Wars." The game will feature the history and connection of the TV show and film's history. The said game will be released on Mar 23. to lead the film's release the following day.
