A fresh teaser clip for "Game of Thrones" Season 7 was recently released by HBO, much to the delight of the show's fans. The teaser features the sword called Oathkeeper. A theory is also doing its rounds that there could be a sudden marriage of convenience in the North.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 Promo Teases Oathkeeper

Though the trailer was shown on HBO, it has not been officially released online as of now. And yet, the teaser is also available online.

It just teases the sword Oathkeeper, which was originally owned by Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). However, it was then handed over to Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). The identity of the person who is holding the sword is not quite clear in the clip.

Possibility Of Wedding Bells In "Game of Thrones"

According to one latest theory posted in Winter is Coming, there is a likelihood of another wedding in the upcoming season. In the book titled "A Dance with Dragons," authored by R.R. Martin, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) arranges a marriage between Alys Karstark and Magner. The latter is a Wildling chieftain.

This marriage is expected to solve several issues for Jon Snow. Fans of the series know that the Starks and the Karstarks have been at loggerheads ever since Lord Rickard was beheaded by Robb (Richard Madden) for butchering the Lannister prisoners. Alys will ask Jon to help her and he arranges the marriage to protect her from her cousin.

Jon Snow will also benefit from this marriage, as he will be able to manage the unruly group better. It is being said that actress Megan Parkinson is the new addition to the cast and will be seen in the role of Alys Karstark in "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

In other news, after the end of "Game of Thrones" Season 6, HBO had declared that its seventh installment will not premiere until July 2017 and that there will just be seven episodes in it. The show's production was delayed by the showrunners since they wanted to film the scenes in cold weather.

In an interview with The Independent, cast member Liam Cunningham teased the actual date for the show's premiere. He stated, "I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It's July now, I think."
