'Aquaman' News: Jason Momoa Goes Behind The Scenes With Zack Snyder; Joins Film Adaptation Of Square Enix's ‘Just Cause’
DC fans have over a year to wait before "Aquaman" hits theaters and production is already underway for the highly anticipated "Justice League" spin-off. The Jason Momoa-starrer is directed by James Wan and produced by "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" helmer Zack Snyder, who recently shared a behind the scenes look into the film.
Meanwhile, Jason Momoa has other projects on hand aside from "Aquaman," as he joins film adaptation of Square Enix's "Just Cause." According to Comicbook, Zack Snyder took to social media platform, Vero to share a snapshot of Jason Momoa filming test footage for "Aquaman." He included a caption, writing, "People are wondering whether he was CG or not. He’s not...hair and environment [was] CG otherwise all Jason."

As Jason Momoa goes behind the scenes with Zack Snyder, "Aquaman" fans can see him up on a harness, surrounded by a green screen. Production is set to begin filming in Australia very soon for a release date of Oct. 5, 2018. "Justice League" is set to arrive earlier, on Nov. 17 this year. Meanwhile, "Aquaman" isn't the only thing on Jason Momoa's plate right now, as he joins film adaptation of Square Enix's "Just Cause."

"Just Cause" is created by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix, which launched in 2006. The action-adventure video game set in an open world environment follows Rico Rodriguez, an Agency operative who is on a mission to overthrow San Esperito's dictator, Salvador Mendoza. Variety reported that the film adaptation of Square Enix's "Just Cause" is written by John Collee and will be directed by Brad Peyton, who has worked with Momoa before.
As Jason Momoa joins the film adaptation of Square Enix's "Just Cause," the 37-year old "Game of Thrones" actor will play the role of Rico Rodriguez.
