"Wayward Pines" Season 3 Not Returning This Year

Reports about a cancellation have been swirling on the Internet ever since season 2 has ended. The publication insisted that the president of Fox entertainment, David Madden already unveiled the status of the show. "Wayward Pines" has not been cancelled, however it will also not be returning on small screens anytime soon.

“'Wayward Pines' is not canceled, but it will not be on this summer,” Madden said in an interview. “Wayward did not come together quickly enough for us to have it this summer; there have been discussions about casting. We are still talking about it, it is possible you will see Wayward at some point back on Fox. But we are focusing a little bit more heavily on unscripted this summer.” Madden added.

According to Celebeat, reports about the "Wayward Pines" cancellation almost gave fans a mini heart attack.
