The "Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361 release may be dumped and fans may not get to see the next episodes on television. The series is currently on hiatus because creator Yoshihiro Togashi is suffering from severe back pain.

The last episode of the manga aired in 2015. Since then, reports and speculations have been making rounds, but no concrete information has come out from the showrunner.

"Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361 Release Delayed Further

The highly anticipated series may not come on air - despite getting well, Togashi is reportedly showing no interest in completing the pending chapters. Previous reports from Travelers Today suggested that since the creator was suffering from the excruciating back pain, he could not finish the pending "Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361.

But recently he was sighted enjoying at an anime and a manga event with friends. It means that Togashi has recovered. But there is no news from the creator regarding starting work on the pending chapters.

Instead, reports suggested that his wife, known for her manga work, "Sailor Moon," may just take over from him. But these also have been found to be just reports and there has been no update about the "Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361.

Shueisha May Start New Manga Series

It seems that the showrunner is also upset with the working ways of Togashi. Shueisha reportedly even wanted to hire new writers to complete the pending job of the creator. But it was not sure whether they will be able to match the same level of quality. Shueisha does not want the creativity and quality of "Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361 to suffer, for fans have been watching it so ardently.

The publishers of the series, Weekly Shanon Jump even extended the time for Togashi so that he could complete the work on "Hunter X Hunter Chapter 361" by the end of Feb 2017, reports Mobipicker. Now that there is no response from the creator, the showrunner reportedly has decided to start a new manga series with a fresh production team and writers. It means that there is a possibility for "Hunter X Hunter Chapter 361" to be dumped permanently.
