Viewers will be glad to know that a fresh image of "The Last Kingdom" Season 2  is now available online. Meanwhile, in the first look clip from BBC Two, Uhtred appears to embody the essence of New England.

"The Last Kingdom" Season 2 Teaser Unveiled

The recently released image shows King Alfred (David Dawson) passing by a village, as he rides a horse in his country. Season 2 will premiere soon, as shooting for the upcoming episodes ended in Nov. last year, The Christian Post mentioned. The show is in the post production stage at present.

BBC Two released the first-look picture for "The Last Kingdom" Season 2 in the month of Feb. this year. It featured Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) on a white horse. Uhtred is depicted as the ultimate symbol of New England in the official promo of the show. The character will try for reconciliation between the Danes and the Saxons in the upcoming season.

Spoilers for season 2 also claim that Uhtred's mission in life remains unaltered, which is to protect the lives of his people. However, that does not mean he will not try to retrieve his fate. The promo teases that though Uhtred's journey may be tough, he will be successful in his mission.

Speculations are also rife that after he proves his value to King Alfred in the upcoming season, Uhtred will be asked to lead the Saxon side. This news may not be taken well by the Saxons when they learn that their leader grew up in the rival group as a Dane. This disagreement may lead to more battles in season 2.

Some spoilers even indicate that Uhtred will march to the north, so that he can take revenge for Earl Ragnar's death and to also recapture Bebbanburg.
